PeopleChek - A Home Bound Persons Check In Business

PeopleChek provides for the monitoring of home bound persons for profit. If desired, the PeopleChek can work with senior citizens and latch-key children as long as there are enough voice ports and telephone lines available to reach all of the prescheduled clients. We suggest that you allocate at least 8 telephone lines (voice ports) when running both packages on the same platform to avoid long delays.

For example, because of modern-day economics, a two-income family is now a financial necessity. Plus there has been a large rise in single parent families as well. Therefore, many children arrive at home after school to an empty house. They must therefore occupy themselves from 4 PM until their parent (s) get home from work at 6 PM. Sometimes, lacking the guidance and adult supervision, these unattended kids may stray away from their homes and get into trouble.

PeopleChek autodials to help you in all sorts of ways:

1. PeopleChek makes outbound calls at predetermined times to the household confirming that the child is present by requiring that a touch-tone button on the phone be pressed.

2. When dialing outbound to children, PeopleChek can administer a variety of interactive quiz games to keep them interested and in anticipating the next call.

3. Upon entering the wrong answer, PeopleChek provides immediate verbal feedback to the child and upon the next call, retests for learning and retention.

4. If immediate help is required, the child may press the 9 key to have PeopleChek deliver a message to the first responsible adult in their designated calling list.

It is important to note that PeopleChek was not designed to enable parents to leave their children alone for extended periods such as vacations. This automated outbound service only increases the frequency of contact, insuring that the child is safe at home until a guardian arrives.

The educational market is the target of another VoiceStamp software product called Education Station which operates as a homework hotline for teachers, parents, and students. Besides extensive database capabilities for administering tests and evaluating the results, it dispenses paid advertising messages to incoming callers. You can use this as a prime promotional medium to reach merchants who seek parents (restaurants, department stores, and so on.) Contact your sales representative for more details about the Education Station program

Minimum Telephone Line Requirements
A minimum PeopleChek system configuration serving up to 75 active clients requires 4 local telephone lines; 2 for outbound dialing, 1 for inbound access, and the last for emergency call notifications. Any less than 4 lines total may cause the entire system to reach a bottleneck and fail to call clients at peak times, and fail to perform its preprogrammed tasks at the period defined in the database.

When PeopleChek generates outbound calls the prerecorded message that delivers can be uniquely targeted for each child and individually scheduled call (many times, several calls will be made on the same day to the same child). The messages provided in a loved one's own voice peak the child's interest and further insure that they will always respond to the call with interest.

Making Money from PeopleChek
In terms of monthly sales revenue, our experience shows that operators have established a wide range of fee structures basing their charges on overhead costs, such as telephone service and local advertising.

Here Are (3) Sample PeopleChek Agreements

These instruments are for reference purposes only.  Have your attorney redraw them for you to reflect the full nature of your business.

I, <client name> agree to contract <company name> to initiate outbound check-in services.

<company name> has created a computer dialing system that stores information about it's home bound clients in a database.  It will list contact names, times to call, specific recorded messages and other info about each client.  Based upon those details <service name> will automatically begin dialing those clients listed in it's memory to make sure that they answer their telephone.  If they fail to respond when called <service name> will begin dialing the responsible third-party also specified in the database to notify them about a failure to reach the client.

I understand that <service name> has been designed to make its calls within the range of XX minutes of its preprogrammed schedule.  The XX minute variance occurs from conflicts with other such clients scheduled at that time.

That means that if a client has requested a 9:00am prescription drug reminder call, <service name> may automatically dial anywhere from 9:00am plus or minus XX minutes depending upon the traffic from other clients.   If at that time the client fails to respond, then the <service name> system will start dialing the predefined list of 3-rd parties within that same XX minute range.

Please note that <service name> was designed to offer a supplemental outbound monitoring service for senior citizens and other homebound persons.  The <service name> must not be relied upon as the client's only primary life saving device and so outside 3rd-parties like their loved ones should continue as they had been doing to make their manual check in calls at random intervals.

I, <client name> also understand that the <service name> system operator and it's agents will not be held responsible for local telephone service interruptions, power outages, and other unforeseen acts of god.

I agree to provide <company name> all the necessary personal and medical information required to carry out the check in services, and I also agree to provide <company name> immediately if there are any changes in the status of the client.

I agree to contact <company name> if I will not be present at the telephone location indicated for me in the <service name> database in order to eliminate false emergency calls which would be triggered if I was not home to answer them.

I understand that all of the information provided the <company name> will be held in the strictest confidence and released only to emergency professionals if I am unable to.

I agree, on my behalf, and on behalf on my guardian's, heirs, legatees, executors or administrators, to release <service name>, their officers, agents and employees, and to hold them harmless from any liability or for any injury, including death, or damage to my person or property which can be incurred as a result or performing or not performing the contracted operations of the <service name>.
